Year 6 had a French day on Wednesday. The children wore French costumes and spent the day making sable biscuits, making menus and learning the French vocabulary ready to be waiters and waitresses in the afternoon at the French Cafe. The parents were invited to the cafe and were able to buy croissants, French bread with cheeses, pain au chocolats and our sable biscuits. The children practised their French on their parents! A big thank you must go to Mrs Thompson, Mrs Gill and Mrs Elliot for helping with cooking the biscuits and with preparing the food in the afternoon!
